Hardy hikers can follow the South West Coast Path along the beautiful coastline, stopping off at secret beaches and exploring coves along the way.
As you walk the winding route, keep an eye out for traces of the serpentine rock for which this area is known, a unique geological feature. Cadgwith, to the east of Lizard Point, makes a perfect stop-off, pure Cornish charm with its cluster of cottages, shingle beach and tiny harbour. To the north is showstopping Kynance Cove, one of the prettiest spots in Cornwall, with turquoise waters and white sands. In calm seas, this is the perfect place for a wild summer swim, followed by ice cream in the local café.
